Gay travel Japan or Gay friendly travel Japan? Which sounds better wondered; when I sat down to put ideas together for this blog post. Not that it really matters I suppose, since the content of this article will remain the same regardless. I have a number of gay friends in Tokyo,both Japanese and foreign, If I had more time before writing this I might have quizzed them on what they would like to see written. sensufanMany people come to Tokyo on business trips. Tokyo is a huge metropolis with many international businesses, so when people visit, it’s both an important career move, but it can also be fun from a tourist perspective!
I met an American business traveler recently who came to Tokyo for 3 weeks. It was his second time visiting Japan, and he wanted to bring back some great souvenirs for friends and family back at home. I wasn’t sure what to suggest for a souvenir. Even though there are many foods I like and many interesting clothes and traditions in Japan, I wasn’t sure if his friends and family would like those things.

I heard about a company called Goodies that makes traditional Japanese products. I thought it would be perfect! This company uses Japanese crafts to create beautiful gifts. They make pottery, ornaments, tiles, traditional tea sets, and more, but I was worried that those kinds of gifts might get damaged during his travel back to America. Read the rest of this entry »
